CareyPhotography > Aermotor 702 windmill along New York Mountains Road in the Mojave Desert. It is easily identified as being manufactured in Chicago, indicating that it was built well before 1964 when the operations were moved to Oklahoma. The Aermotor Windmill Company, currently located in San Angelo, Texas, has been in business since 1888 and is the only manufacturer of windmills in the U.S. that is still producing.
